5 Quick Ways To Solve "404 Page Not Found" Error In Browsers!

There are many times when we wish to enter a website but we get either a "404 Page Not Found Error" or the website loads only a portion (I mean with less graphics). So, are there any way to solve it? Absolutely! Follow the steps given below. If you are not seeing the pictures properly, then click any one to enlarge them.

Instructions!

Way1-This is a common problem which occurs when your router (Orange ADSL/My.T modem) needs resetting. One way in which you can do this is to unplug your router from power socket, wait a minute and then replug it. Reload the website to check. If this does not work follow step 2.

Way2-Maybe your WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) code has been corrupted. The WEP code is found somewhere on the side of your Orange My.T router (I don't know if Orange ADSL routers have it). If the WEP code has become corrupted somehow, then follow the picture representation below.

  • Type "192.168.1.1" in your browser address bar and press enter (I don't know if it works for Orange ADSL routers)

  • After pressing enter, another window will open up asking for username & password. You just have to write them as they were provided to you and click on "Log In" button.

  • After clicking the "Log In" button, you will be taken to the dashboard of the router. From there, click on "Wireless" menu.

  • After clicking the "Wireless" menu, the window below will appear where you have to click on the "WEP Configuration" button.

  • Check if the website in question can be accessed. If the website can now be accessed then you should stop here! If not then continue to step 3.

Way3-A third possibility is that maybe your Firewall is blocking the website due to some keywords. To bypass this, follow the steps below!

  • Paste it on Google search by pressing "Ctrl and V" simultaneously and clicking "Google Search" button or pressing "Enter" button on keyboard.

  • After hitting the "Enter" button, the search result will show up on the next page where you will hover your mouse on a symbol like this ">>" to preview the page and somewhere on the top there is a "Cached" option on which you will click to access the cached version of the website.

    • When you clicked the "cached" option, the website will appear. See example below!

Way4-It may be that the website is down due to maintenance. But don't worry, there is a solution to this problem as well. Follow the steps below.

    • Go to downforeveryoneorjustme.com (open this link in a new tab!) and you will see the website as it is shown below. Just enter the website in the textbox where "facebook.com" is written and press enter.

    •  After pressing "Enter" on keyboard, the below window will appear to tell you if the problem is from your side or website is down.

Way5-Another possibility is that your IP (Internet Protocol) address needs to be refreshed. To solve this, you need to download this small program and save to your desktop. I created this program myself and it is called IP REFRESHER it refreshes the IP address on your computer. Just double-click on it to launch the program. After the program finishes its refreshing, it closes by itself. After refreshing, please reload your website on your browser to see it.

    Over to you now!
